aCOMMENT is maintained by Comment Publications, whose director David Rainey is a free-lance curator and writer. In 2009 he co-curated the exhibition Ern Malley: The Hoax and Beyond at Heide Museum of Modern Art and wrote the catalogue essay.
David worked as a patent attorney and spent years dealing with things inventive until his career took a curiously symbiotic turn when he discovered Ern Malley, surely one of the world’s more esoteric inventions.
This led to years of painstaking research into Malley, Nolan, Heide and Comment.
aCOMMENT places the fruits of this research on the public record with postings of articles and essays.
